Hello All,
I am trying to find out more information about using Citect 6.0 with
OPC. We have many sites where we are using citect to communicate with
Woodward controls using the modbus protocol via Ethernet and serial
links. We have a future project that will require us to use citect and
OPC to communicate with the Woodward Micronet controller. I have looked
through the help files and the knowledge base and see many references to
using OPC but I have found nothing that really explains the setup and
use in a way that I can understand. Some examples would be nice but I
don't really see any. I also see many references to the citect tag
browser but I do not know how to use it or how to even call it up.
I realize that these are basic questions but would appreciate any help
or direction that anyone could provide. I am looking for any information
I can get.

Hi Jim,
I will send you the separate OPC help documentation from CitectSCADA
version 6.10 as it has been revamped and updated and I think will give
you a much better introduction to OPC with CitectSCADA. I would
appreciate your (and others) feedback on it. Hopefully some of our list
members have specific experience with Woodward controls and can offer
you some useful information and references. Good luck with the future
project and if you need some general\basic advice our Support and
Education Services are available.
